Subscription Charges According to the UK NEQAS Code of Practice, schemes must be operated on a not-for-profit basis, with any operational surpluses being re-invested in the scheme. Subscription charges are based on full realistic costings of operations, with no subsidy by the host institution or other departmental activities. They are subjected to annual independent scrutiny by the UK NEQAS Executive Committee and approved prior to annual re-registration. Most schemes have different rates for UK clinical, non-UK clinical, non-clinical and diagnostic industry participants, reflecting factors such as additional postal charges.
